The A.L. Hansen (Austin Hardware) Center Control Latch (Part #ALH105-50) is the internal “brain” mechanism found inside the baggage and compartment doors of many shuttle buses, utility trucks, and trailers. This heavy-duty, zinc-plated “dead bolt” style unit serves as the central hub of a 2-Point Locking System. When you turn the exterior door handle, this center case rotates, pulling the attached rods inward to unlatch the door at the top and bottom. THIS LATCH HAS 1/4″ PINS/STUDS FOR RODS TO ATTACH. If you need 5/16″, see part# 5646-50-ZN. Note on Versions: This part number series comes in two variations regarding the Rod Stud Size (the posts where the rods attach). Please verify if your existing latch has 1/4″ studs or 5/16″ studs before installation, as the rod eyelets must match.
